Top 5 Upcoming Maruti

Maruti Escudo

The flagship SUV vehicle will be the Maruti Escudo that comes under the Arena. Falling between Brezza and the Grand Vitara, it will also be the first Indian car of Maruti to include Level-2 ADAS and Dolby Atmos sound. It has other high-end features such as the 4WD system and powered tailgate. It is likely that the Escudo will also use powertrains of the Grand Vitara a 103bhp 1.5L mild-hybrid and 115bhp 1.5L strong-hybrid.

Maruti e vitara

The e Vitara will be the first electric SUV manufactured by Maruti initially planned to come in March 2025 but is delayed by supply chains. It is now anticipated to be introduced by the end of 2025 as a vehicle riding on a skateboard that shares its platform with the BYD-designed EV with a 49kWh and 61kWh battery pack. The two will produce 143bhp and 173bhp respectively and are front mounted motors. Maruti boasts of a long mileage of more than 500km (MIDC).

Maruti Fronx Hybrid

In early 2026, there will be the Fronx Hybrid that will feature the introduction of the in-house developed series hybrid system that will be more affordable than the one by Toyota that comes equipped with an electric motor and a 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine. Look forward to more than 35km/litre. It will be visually very close to the existing Fronx but with the new Hybrid badging.

New-Gen Maruti Baleno

The next-gen Baleno is due at mid-to-late 2026 and will have a powerful hybrid variant of the same 1.2L petrol-hybrid powertrain that the Fronx Hybrid has. This fuel efficient arrangement is favoured on top trims only and the lower variants are most likely to remain on the same turf with the existing 1.2L K12N producing 88.5bhp and 113Nm. The vehicle will be equipped with new design, additional features and more technology.

Maruti mini MPV

The final product in the trio is a completely new 7-seater variant of the Mini that is geared towards the new Renault Triber. This upright, boxy subcompact MPV will be based on the Suzuki Spacia and is likely to be free of sliding doors and ADAS in India. The probable engines will be the 1.2L Z-Series petrol and the new strong hybrid arrangement that would be coupled with both manual and automatic variants.

Maruti Suzuki is all set to disrupt the utility vehicle market with varied portfolio of electric, hybrid, petrol and cheap and affordable variants.
